Accumar's roots trace back to the early 1980s, when a partnership began constructing cable lifts for waterfront properties. Officially incorporated in 1988, Accumar initially specialized in yacht design and construction, with hillside tram systems as a secondary focus. Over time, the demand for their custom cable and track lifts grew, eventually becoming the company's primary business.

Today, Accumar designs, fabricates, and builds nearly every mechanical component of their hillside elevators in-house, ensuring quality and reliability. This includes gondolas, hoists, safety systems, and control panels.
